Part III changes:
-- Added scriptures from D&C 77, Moses 7, and a quote from Joseph Smith that expounds upon the four sons of Horus.
-- Updated commentary on facsimile 3's "Grant salvation to the Osiris Hor"
Abraham 3:27 And the Lord said: Whom shall I send? And one answered like unto the Son of Man: Here am I, send me. And another answered and said: Here am I, send me. And the Lord said: I will send the first.
Introduction: In November 2017, I wrote part I of this series about the final verses of Abraham 3 and how they pertain to the Davidic Servant. In that article, I speculated that the one "Like unto the Son of Man" may be the Davidic Servant. Now, however, as my understanding and knowledge of the Davidic Servant has grown, I am convinced the one "like unto the son of man" is absolutely the Davidic Servant.
Admittedly, I am no "Book of Abraham" scholar. Though I love the Book of Abraham, there are other LDS scholars who can do a much better scholarly breakdown of The Book of Abraham than I. I will quote some of them here, and add some links at the end, but whereas the first article focused on the final verses of Abraham 3, this article will focus on the facsimiles and extra-scriptural evidence that supports not only the thesis that the Davidic Servant is the one like unto the son of man but also the fact that the Egyptians knew good and well who the Davidic Servant was - and they knew him as Horus!
The following is an overview of what's been established in other articles on this site. I recommend reading or re-reading this first as they establish important roles and identities that will be explored further in this article. The articles listed below currently comprise of the majority of articles on the left under "The Davidic Servant" section.
The following is an overview of what's been established in other articles on this site. I recommend reading or re-reading this first as they establish important roles and identities that will be explored further in this article. The articles listed below currently comprise of the majority of articles on the left under "The Davidic Servant" section.
- There is a Davidic Servant to come who is not just a king or a prophet. There's something more to him - Article
- The Holy Ghost & Angel of the Lord is the Davidic Servant - Article
- The High Priest of Israel points to the Davidic Servant - Article
- The Angel of the Lord / Davidic Servant has strong ties to Abraham in the "Apocalypse of Abraham" - Article
- The Angel who stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac may have participated in the Atonement himself, as executor of the great and last sacrifice - Article
- The articles on the Davidic Servant and The Book of Enoch establish that the "Elect One," The Davidic Servant identity in the Book of Enoch, is chosen and hidden from the foundation of the world. These articles also establish strong word links between the Davidic Servant, the Rod of Jesse from Isaiah 11 and the Elect One. Article 1, Article 2, Article 3
In summary, the Davidic Servant is fulfilling a role that is central to the plan of salvation and was chosen from the foundation of the world. He is the one who volunteered when the Lord Jehovah asked, "whom shall I send" in Abraham 3:27. In this article, I will explore how the eternal truth of this man was known to the Egyptians: they knew him as the god Horus. Moreover, the facsimiles from the Book of Abraham reinforce the identity, role, and purpose of Horus who is the Davidic Servant!
Part I - Egyptus
Abraham 1:23 The land of Egypt being first discovered by a woman, who was the daughter of Ham, and the daughter of Egyptus, which in the Chaldean signifies Egypt, which signifies that which is forbidden;
24 When this woman discovered the land it was under water, who afterward settled her sons in it; and thus, from Ham, sprang that race which preserved the curse in the land.
25 Now the first government of Egypt was established by Pharaoh, the eldest son of Egyptus, the daughter of Ham, and it was after the manner of the government of Ham, which was patriarchal.
26 Pharaoh, being a righteous man, established his kingdom and judged his people wisely and justly all his days, seeking earnestly to imitate that order established by the fathers in the first generations, in the days of the first patriarchal reign, even in the reign of Adam, and also of Noah, his father, who blessed him with the blessings of the earth, and with the blessings of wisdom, but cursed him as pertaining to the Priesthood.
27 Now, Pharaoh being of that lineage by which he could not have the right of Priesthood, notwithstanding the Pharaohs would fain claim it from Noah, through Ham, therefore my father was led away by their idolatry;
There are two important facts derived from the verses above that are essential to lay the foundation of this article. Fact one: Egypt was founded by a righteous man who imitated the order of the Priesthood. Imagine being Noah's great-grand son in the days of prolonged life and the knowledge that was accessible to him!
Fact two: Without the actual right of the Priesthood, Egypt was eventually led away into idolatry. This can be seen in Joseph Smith's interpretation of Facsimile 1 where Joseph labels the canisters below the lion couch as idolatrous Gods. However, it is critical to note that these idolatrous Gods were very likely derived from the truth. Look no further than the Catholic religion, and you can see this same pattern of perversion. Worshipping and praying to Saint Peter is wrong, but that doesn't mean Saint Peter wasn't a real and good man. See what I mean?
Abraham Facsimile 1, Figures 5 - 8 |
Additionally, it's important to point out that there are different schools of thought regarding the origin of the facsimiles of the Book of Abraham. For the purposes of this article, we are going to rely upon fact two; whoever wrote the facsimiles and however they were written, the truths upon which they are founded have been, can be, and will continue to be derived. For example, of the Egyptian characters in facimile 2, Joseph Smith said many of them will be given in due time and also said, "If the world can find out these numbers, so let it be."
Another important illustration of the fact that Egyptian mythology was derived from truth, is the fact that the mythology of the Egyptian god Osiris draws obvious parallels to Jesus Christ. Of course, to the non-believer, this parallel between Osiris and Jesus Christ means Jesus must have been derived from Osiris - both being mythological. To the believer, the Egyptians somehow had a foreknowlege of Jesus Christ. Given the beginnings of the Kingdom of Egypt through Egyptus' son who based the government upon the Priesthood, this latter interpretation has even more precedence. Just do an Internet search for "Jesus Christ Osiris" (without quotes) and you'll see both perspectives aplenty. Here is a brief list of similarities I found after doing this search myself:
Similarities between Jesus Christ and Osiris
- Osiris before death was titled " The Good Shepherd", and Jesus Christ is a shepherd to his followers
- Both Osiris and Jesus were killed by treachery from close relationships, Seth and Judas respectively
- Osiris and Jesus both suffered a painful death, with sacrifices that were gloomy, solemn, and mournful
- Both Osiris and Jesus Christ were resurrected
- Osiris' and Jesus resurrections served to provide hope to all that they may do likewise and become eternal.
- After their respective deaths, both gods became kings in the afterlife, Osiris being the "Lord of the Underworld" and Jesus Christ the "King of Heaven"
- They both perform the final judgment of the dead, to decide who should join their Kingdoms and be granted eternal life.
- Osiris exclaims "I have welcomed the chief spirits in the service of the Lord of things! I am the Lord of the fields when they are white ready to harvest." Christ says "Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that are white already to the harvest."
- The Egyptian ritual says "He is your, O Osiris! A well, or flow, comes out of your mouth to him!" Christ says "I am the Father, inundating when there is thirst, guarding the water. Behold me at it."
Part II - Horus
I have not been this excited to write an article in a long while. There are so very many elements to the Egyptian God Horus that parallel the Davidic Servant ... pretty much every major point I've made about the Davidic Servant is reinforced, strongly by Horus. Now that I have set a lofty expectation, it's time to deliver!
The most commonly encountered family relationship describes Horus as the son of Isis and Osiris, and he plays a key role in the Osiris myth as Osiris's heir and the rival to Set, the murderer of Osiris. ~ from Wikipedia
Wow, there is so much there in this one sentence. The most-viewed article on this site, is about the sign of September 23, 2017 that I believe was the fulfillment of Revelation 12.
JST Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great sign in heaven, in the likeness of things on the earth; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.
2 And the woman being with child, cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God and his throne.
4 And there appeared another sign in heaven; and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman which was delivered, ready to devour her child after it was born.
There it is. It's all there! Horus is the heir to Jesus Christ. The Davidic Servant is the heir to Osiris. Wait, I think I got that backwards, or did I? Is this the same story? I believe firmly that it is. I have used the word "it" far too often here. Poor writing should show how I excited I am about "it." Here is more about the rivalry between Horus and Set:
After becoming pregnant with Horus, Isis fled to the Nile Delta marshlands to hide from her brother Set, who jealously killed Osiris and who she knew would want to kill their son.[10] There Isis bore a divine son, Horus. ~ from Wikipedia
Hiding babies from the devil? That like never happens in the scriptures, right? Well, except for Moses and Jesus. This certainly can't be a type, though right? From the servant songs of Isaiah where Jehovah speaks of his beloved servant to come:
Isaiah 49:1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
In fact, I've written an entire article on the hidden aspect of the Davidic Servant. Hiding from Set / Satan would be interesting alone, but eventually Horus and Set go to war. This rivalry between Horus and Set shows them at the center of a conflict that wages on for years with Horus eventually getting the upper hand. This story reflects the foundation of truth found in the premortal war in heaven. The beginnings of this conflict are given in Abraham 3:
Abraham 3:27 And the Lord said: Whom shall I send? And one answered like unto the Son of Man: Here am I, send me. And another answered and said: Here am I, send me. And the Lord said: I will send the first.
The names of the three individuals in Abraham 3:27 are conspicuously absent--which almost screams, "Mystery!" The one "like unto the Son of Man" is not the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, but Horus, er, The Davidic Servant! Abraham 3 was never about Lucifer versus Jesus. Jesus was chosen from the beginning of this eternal round. Jesus Christ's dominion is worlds, and the context of Abraham 3 is this one Earth. "Who shall I send" asks Osiris? Horus answers, "Here am I send me" and Set answers, "Here am I send me," and the Lord chooses the first. Chooses him to do what exactly?
First, Horus was chosen to be Jesus Christ's heir. Inheriting all the Father hath would not give Jesus the title "Father" until He establishes an heir of His own. Let's pretend for a moment that the "Lord God" in the following scripture is Jehovah, or Jesus Christ and that Jesus is not speaking by divine investiture of authority for Elohim, but is speaking for Himself:
Moses 1:1 And I, the Lord God, spake unto Moses, saying: That Satan, whom thou hast commanded in the name of mine Only Begotten, is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me, saying—Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor.
2 But, behold, my Beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me—Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever.
3 Wherefore, because that Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man, which I, the Lord God, had given him, and also, that I should give unto him mine own power; by the power of mine Only Begotten, I caused that he should be cast down;
4 And he became Satan, yea, even the devil, the father of all lies, to deceive and to blind men, and to lead them captive at his will, even as many as would not hearken unto my voice.
Think about this for a moment. Did Jesus say "I will be thy son" to Elohim or had He earned that right the same way the Davidic Servant is earning that right? When Jesus says, "which was my Beloved and chosen from the beginning" - the question is, the beginning of what? Abraham 3:27 establishes the answer--the beginning of this one Earth. Moses 1:1-4 also reinforces the fact that the Davidic Servant volunteered first where he was already chosen when Satan volunteered to become Jehovah's heir.
What other parallels are there between the Davidic Servant and Horus apart from the obvious Set parallels? Perhaps the most important parallel is Horus raises Osiris from the dead. There is some Egyptian mythology that points to Osiris' wife, Isis, yet I believe this may be another way of saying the same thing. Though I could write an entire article this (and may,) suffice it to say I believe the dominion of the son matches the dominion of his mother. Isis, as mother to Horus, is fulfilled by the accomplishments of the heir she produces to Osiris. This truth is reinforced by the Revelation 12 sign - the celestial birth of the heir - the man child who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron. This is her achievement. In fact, I believe the recent temple endowment changes may all reflect this happening that is very likely in the process of unfolding now.
In the article, Awake O Sword, The Holy Ghost and The Atonement, I demonstrate the scriptural links that show the Holy Ghost was participator in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. From the incredible blog conflictofjustice.com that has many amazing articles defending the Book of Abraham, there is an article named, “Did Joseph Smith Correctly Translate Facsimile 1 In The Book Of Abraham?” In this article, the author demonstrates that the lion couch depicted in Facsimile 1 is not exclusively used for embalming but for resurrection as demonstrated by the image below that shows Horus raising Osiris from the dead.
At the Dendera Temple, Horus stands at this same position and commands Osiris to rise from his bier. It refers to Horus sacrificing his eye so that Osiris would be revived: “Horus sacrifices his eye and with it awakens the dead god to life.” conflictofjustice.com
There are two symbols of resurrection associated with Horus. The first symbol of power is the famed, "Eye of Horus," which should be easily recognizable in the image below, is how Horus resurrects Osiris.
The Eye of Horus |
The Eye of Horus alone is a topic worthy of study that includes mathematical and geometrical symbols of ascension. Suffice it to say for the purposes of this article, the Eye of Horus is founded in sacred, universal truth. The second symbol of power is the Ankh, which represents life and resurrection. From wikipedia:
It (The Ankh) was especially commonly held in the hands of deities, or being given by them to the pharaoh, to represent their power to sustain life and to revive human souls in the afterlife.
The Egyptian Ankh or symbol of Life |
Whereas the Eye of Horus may represent how Resurrection is achieved, the Ankh may represent the power to do so. You will notice the ankh is frequently carried in the hands of pharoahs and deities in Egyptian artwork.
In the article, The Davidic Servant is the Holy Ghost is the Angel of the Lord, I establish the precedence for the Davidic Servant being the angel who sounds the first trump of resurrection.
D&C 98:98 They are Christ’s, the first fruits, they who shall descend with him first, and they who are on the earth and in their graves, who are first caught up to meet him; and all this by the voice of the sounding of the trump of the angel of God.
Isn't that interesting? A nameless angel ... almost as though he is hidden. Enough parallels have been drawn between Horus and The Davidic Servant; certainly, there are more, but let's review a list of established parallels. In the next section, we will show the many areas these truths are reflected in the facsimiles of the Book of Abraham.
Horus / Davidic Servant
- Heir of Osiris / Heir of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 9:7-8, Isaiah, Pslams, Revelation, etc.)
- Son of Isis / Son of celestial mother (Revelation 12)
- Hidden from Set / Hidden from the devil (Isaiah 49:1-2)
- Rival to Set / Rival to the devil (Abraham 3:27, Moses 1:1-4)
- War with Set / War in heaven (Revelation 12, Moses 1:1-4)
- Resurrects Osiris / Resurrects Jesus Christ (Romans 8:11)
- Possesses the keys of resurrection (Eye of Horus) / Morning of the first resurrection (D&C 98:98)
- Possesses the keys of revelation (Eye of Horus) / Holy Ghost reveals (1 Nephi 10:17)
Part III - Horus in the Facsimiles of Abraham
I will be borrowing heavily from conflictofjustice.com's articles on the facsimiles, though the parallels to Horus / The Davidic Servant are exclusively pointed out here. Let's begin with facsimile 1. There is strong evidence that the Angel of the Lord, the Holy Ghost, and the Davidic Servant are all the same person. I have also made the case that the same angel who stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac is the same Angel of the Lord who saved Abraham from Elkenah. Let's have a look, now, at the first facsimile and see if there is any evidence that links the Angel of the Lord depicted in facsimile 1 to this man.
What manner of foul is that, and what does it signify in Egyptian? This foul is a Falcon and the Falcon represents ... wait for it ... Horus. That's right, the Angel of the Lord is represented by the Horus falcon!
...the falcon is also a symbol of Horus, a god similar to Jehovah in Egyptian theology (a star in the East heralded his birth, baptized in the River Jordan, walked on water, healed the sick, etc.). ~ Did Joseph Smith Correctly Translate Facsimile 1 In The Book Of Abraham?
I've already made the case that the Angel of the Lord is the Davidic Servant and is the same angel who saved both Isaac from Abraham and Abraham from Elkenah. This is quite the "coincidence"! What about facsimile 2?
Figure 7 contains both temple symbols and signs without going into detail. They're there, and if you're endowed you should recognize them quickly. Now, there are three links here to the Davidic Servant. First is the obvious sign of the Dove which points to the Holy Ghost identity of the Davidic Servant. Second, the Holy Ghost is revealing the grand key words, which is symbolized here by The Eye of Horus! If you are endowed, think about the key words and how they pertain both to identity and resurrection. The woman standing to the left already has this key word revealed to her and she is "keeping" it in her mind, just as we do. Third, the resurrection link to the Holy Ghost / Davidic Servant is demonstrated in figure 7 as well!
D&C 121:26 God shall give unto you knowledge by his Holy Spirit, yea, by the unspeakable gift of the Holy Ghost, that has not been revealed since the world was until now;
The Davidic Servant is the one who reveals the new name of Israel, with implications of both identity and resurrection.
Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
"Mouth of the Lord" is one of the titles of the Angel of the Lord that draws obvious parallels between Moses and Aaron to Jesus Christ and the Angel of the Lord. Figure 7 in facsimile 2 is Isaiah 62:2 in action! Let's look at the next figure that ties to Horus, figure 3:
Abraham Facsimile 2, Figure 3 |
Fig. 3. Is made to represent God, sitting upon his throne, clothed with power and authority; with a crown of eternal light upon his head; representing also the grand Key-words of the Holy Priesthood, as revealed to Adam in the Garden of Eden, as also to Seth, Noah, Melchizedek, Abraham, and all to whom the Priesthood was revealed.
The grand key words are again represented by the Eye of Horus! Moreoever, this time we actually have Horus himself seated upon the throne. In Josephs Smith's description, it reads God, sitting upon his throne, clothed with power and authority, and a scepter is drawn. Is it me, or does this sound a lot like the High Priest of Israel who approaches the mercy seat (throne,) clothed with authority and wearing a crown that reads "Holiness to the Lord?" And, of course a scepter or rod of Aaron is also associated with the High Priest of Israel. I may add an image later to illustrate this, but suffice it to say there are many parallels to the High Priest of Israel to Horus. Both point to the lesser God to a greater God and both are crowned by the power of the greater.
Another interesting element from the facsimiles is the four sons of Horus as depicted in facsimile 2.
Joseph Smith: “Represents this earth in its four quarters.”
|
Now, of course it's nice to know that Joseph Smith did indeed translate this correctly as Egyptians scholars agree with the essence of this translation. However, we're far beyond the need of physical evidence at this point as the spiritual evidence of is overwhelming. Though a testimony is required at the foundation, the sheer number of "coincidences" here just cannot be explained away. What evidences are there in the scriptures that the angel of the Lord / Davidic Servant may preside over four sons who are in charge of the four quarters of the Earth?
Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Hrm ... what a "coincidence!" Well, at least there's no evidence these four angels answer to the Angel of the Lord right? Wrong! In this article (and others on this site,) I make the case that the Davidic Servant is ascending from the order of Seraphim, or the sixth order of mankind - the order over which he presides. This order aligns to the 144,000 and the apostles themselves (compare Isaiah 6 to Matthew 13.) Revelation 7:1-4 is the Angel of the Lord declaring his dominion over the four quarters of the Earth in relation to finishing the sealing of the 144,000. This is yet another evidence that the Egyptian god Horus was founded in eternal truth and aligns his identity with the Davidic Servant.
The four sons of Horus are also in Facsimile 3! Again, I am referencing the excellent site conflictofjutsice.com where the author points out that the four sons of Horus are mentioned also in Facsimile 3!
Four Sons Of Horus – The four sons of Horus, which Joseph Smith correctly interpret as the four quarters of the earth in Facsimile 2, show up in each Facsimile. “Gods of the south, north, west, and east.” So, the Sons of Horus are in this Facsimile 3, just like they take prominent position in Facsimiles 1 and 2. Each time, they imply the global implications of what is going on in the scene. Abraham became a global father of the nations. ~ Did Joseph Smith Correctly Translate Facsimile 3 In The Book Of Abraham?
Are there any other scriptures on the four angels of Revelation who may be the four sons of Horus? Yes! In fact, we have them defined in the Q&A of Doctrine & Covenants section 77!
D&C 77:8. Q. What are we to understand by the four angels, spoken of in the 7th chapter and 1st verse of Revelation?A. We are to understand that they are four angels sent forth from God, to whom is given power over the four parts of the earth, to save life and to destroy; these are they who have the everlasting gospel to commit to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people; having power to shut up the heavens, to seal up unto life, or to cast down to the regions of darkness.
9 Q. What are we to understand by the angel ascending from the east, Revelation 7th chapter and 2nd verse?A. We are to understand that the angel ascending from the east is he to whom is given the seal of the living God over the twelve tribes of Israel; wherefore, he crieth unto the four angels having the everlasting gospel, saying: Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And, if you will receive it, this is Elias which was to come to gather together the tribes of Israel and restore all thing

In verse 8, the four sons indeed represent dominion over all the Earth. Moreover, their power to shut up the heavens, seal unto life or cast to darkness, is this not the power of resurrection and judgement that are given to Horus as represented by the Ankh, the Eye of Horus, and the was scepter?
In verse 9, we have that word again "seal." The angel ascending from the east, along with the rising sun, has the seal of the living God over the twelve tribes of Israel? What is the seal of the living God? Is it a name? Is it symbolized by the Eye of Horus? If you receive the seal, "this is Elias" - That's also an odd wording isn't it? The angel ascending from the East is Elias. This seal could be Jehovah's name, His new name, the name or new name of the Davidic Servant (Horus,) or all of the above. "This is Elias" could also refer to the angel along with those he seals, as together with the 144,000 they are the angels and men who gather Israel and restore all things. Horus presides over this order that gathers the elect and restores ZION:
Moses 7:62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.
63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;
Now I ask how righteousness and truth are agoing to sweep the earth as with a flood? I will answer:—Men and angels are to be co-workers in bringing to pass this great work: and a Zion is to be prepared; even a New Jerusalem, for the elect that are to be gathered from the four quarters of the earth, and to be established an holy city: for the tabernacle of the Lord shall be with them. ~Joseph Smith, Letter to the Elders of the Church, 16 November 1835
Given all these "coincidences," there is still yet another coincidence in the facsimiles. From the articles already referenced on conflictofjustice.com, the Egyptian on the facsimiles point to the owner of the scrolls as a man named, "Hor," which is represented by the falcon or the Horus falcon. Facsimile 3 reads, Grant salvation to the Osiris Hor. Hosana means "Grant salvation," so another interpretation could be Hosana to the Osiris Hor. That seems a little too coincidental to me to just be about some guy named after an Egyptian God. What if Facsimile 3 is about this process of becoming a prince of peace?
In verse 9, we have that word again "seal." The angel ascending from the east, along with the rising sun, has the seal of the living God over the twelve tribes of Israel? What is the seal of the living God? Is it a name? Is it symbolized by the Eye of Horus? If you receive the seal, "this is Elias" - That's also an odd wording isn't it? Abraham 1:2 And, finding there was greater happiness and peace and rest for me, I sought for the blessings of the fathers, and the right whereunto I should be ordained to administer the same; having been myself a follower of righteousness, desiring also to be one who possessed great knowledge, and to be a greater follower of righteousness, and to possess a greater knowledge, and to be a father of many nations, a prince of peace, and desiring to receive instructions, and to keep the commandments of God, I became a rightful heir, a High Priest, holding the right belonging to the fathers.
There's a lot more to be said about facsimile 3, including my thoughts as to why "Pharoah" and the "prince" are represented by what appears to be women. Suffice it to say, I believe the mother's dominion may equal the son's. Here is an image, again from conflictofjustice.com, that may demonstrate this heavenly principle:
The Temple of Kom Ombo shows a crowning ritual of kingship, including a was-sceptre, ankh, and royal kilt - by Hedwig Storch |
Notice, the woman to the left wears a nearly identical crown. Yet, this idea of equating the dominion of mother and son would be a topic for another day. There is another interpretation of Facsimile 3 that would underscore this concept as there are also what appears to be two women depicted there as well in what may also be a crowning ceremony.
Part IV - Conclusion
There are a suprising number of confirmations of Horus being the Davidic Servant / Holy Ghost / Angel of the Lord in the facsimiles. In one, the Horus falcon is the angel of the Lord. In the second, the grand key words are represented as the Eye of Horus along with Horus himself seated upon a throne, clothed with power, authority, and a celestial crown. I have shared the following verses recently in the article, "An Introduction to the Davidic Servant." I would like to share them again here in conclusion with these new revelations in mind. I will add some commentary within the scripture in green. Again, this is the message from the Lord Jesus Christ to the angel of the sixth church, or order of mankind.
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David (key of resurrection as represented by the Eye of Horus and Ankh), he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; (resurrection and judgement is final)
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. (This angel is part of the Godhead)
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (This angel will incarnate in the end times during the "hour of tempation.")
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (The crown of Horus and the crown of the High Priest of Israel are the crown of David. Jesus Christ is the High Priest of Melchizedek. His heir is the High Priest of Israel as symbolized by Aaron.)
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. (The angel of the sixth church has the new name of Jesus Christ, or the key to resurrect Jesus Christ Himself! He will also learn the name of Elohim as he ascends and fulfills Yom Kippur as High Priest of Israel.)
Is this all coming together now? The Egyptians clearly knew of the hidden servant of Isaiah. Joseph Smith's revelations from the Book of Abraham reinforce the many, many coincidences within Egyptian mythology that link the Egyptian god Horus to the Davidic Servant.

I have never considered that the Egyptians understood such deep concepts. WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jason! There's some more interesting discussion about this article on mormondialogue.org:
Deletehttp://www.mormondialogue.org/topic/71571-book-of-abraham-horus/
In particular, I should have mentioned in this article that Noah's grandchildren were likely still speaking Adamic, so the Egyptian "god of gods" or "Self-created god" Amun is very similar to Ahman, as in Adam-Ondi-Ahman.
Well that settles it then osiris is dyonisis, the peacock angel of the yazdiz. He is vishnu , shiva in one of his avatars . Another name for osiris is aser or asar . Elasarus el comes from semetic and us roman . So horus raises lazerus , who then is horus . Horus is shiva in his moon form horus is a lunar deity and the moon is always associated with a bull representing strength of the king . Horus in the east is hubal , sin a form of shiva , chandra . In hinduism osiris is associated with yama . He goes into the underworld and comes his ka or spirit goes into horus , therefore it could be said horus is the risen osiris . Both dyonisis and horus are forms of shiva , vishnu ( same deity different functions ) . Abraham correlates strongly to horus . Sekemet is a form of hathor and vishnu takes the same form as lion headed narasimah . The lion form is due to the solar eye as you know . The solar eye is fore from the sun surya which is agni or uma . This represents the Shakti of the deity . Air or Prana is a shakti so is fire . I will tell you that set is also a shakti , set is kali the shakti of shiva the dark side of shiva the destroyer , which is the personification of tamas . What your looking at is the symbolism of creation , preservation and destruction . They are not even deitys or gods they are men and initiation rights . The enlightened man the king being worshiped as gods . Narasimah, krishna vishnu is the lion of the tribe of judah .
DeleteVery interesting stuff that I've not considered before. I think you're right, this sheds light on the Holy Ghost. The Anubis priest stands opposite to the bird, perhaps as Lucifer as the fallen David Servant is now opposite to the true David Servant? The facsimiles really explain a lot, and comparing Egyptian theology provides some surprising clues. I've started writing about each figure in each facsimile at great length, and found a lot of additional information you might find useful. Jacob's ladder tells us a lot. And I've started looking more at Mayan mythology. Thanks for looking at and expounding on my Facsimile articles. Please keep going, I want to see more of what you discover!
ReplyDeleteWill do - Again, I appreciate your permission to link to your blog in this article which is full of truly amazing work! Satan and the Davidic Servant are parallels - one is the angel over the shoulder as the power of the Holy Ghost and the other is the devil over the other shoulder. Two opposites providing the opposition per 2 Nephi 2 to enable a stage where souls can develop. Anubis apparently doesn't show up much in Egyptian mythology. Perhaps Set is Lucifer and Anubis is Satan if they're two separate beings as Luciferians claim. If that's true, then there isn't much about Satan in our scriptures either! However, Anubis appears to act as a helper of sorts, preparing bodies / souls for their journey.
DeleteI may write an article on Michael's dominion in regards to the recent endowment changes, but the Egyptian mythology cements my thinking on this - that the dominion of the son equates to the dominion of the mother. The crowns of Isis seem to match - or are very similar to - the crowns of Horus in Egyptian art. In short, is this Eve's world or is it Michael's? Are their any scriptures that say Michael only has one world, for if polygamy is an eternal principle, then there could be one world per Eve - and each world produces an heir, perhaps with a same or similar conflict at the center between Set and Horus.
I've always had a deep love for learning the ancient Egyptian mysteries. You have opened up new doors for me to explore and learn. Great incites and revelations Alaris! Thank you very much!!

I may edit this article to add this scripture to reinforce the four sons of horus and the angel ascending from the east being horus and his four sons:
ReplyDeleteD&C 77
And, if you will receive it, this is Elias which was to come to gather together the tribes of Israel and restore all things.
Here is an excellent video from Bruce Porter that reinforces one of the central themes of this article - that eternal truth is reflected in Egyptian Papyri, writing, etc. as the society was started by a righteous Pharoah mimicking the order of the Priesthood. Bruce Porter does an amazing job answering questions few (including me) didn't think to ask about the Joseph of Egypt Papyri and how the scroll of Ani may help unfold this mystery:

I see another parallel in the line - If you receive the seal, "this is Elias"
DeleteWhen the Prophet tells us that in a coming day it will not be possible to survive spiritually without taking “the Holy Ghost” as your guide he might not be referring to just staying in the bounds of the earthly church. It seems there is far more at stake. Being sealed up to the Lord through the Davidic servant is the difference between him coming to you as an Elias to restore or coming as a destroyer to lay waste. It shows the importance of calling and election and Joseph’s “beseeching” us to go forward to make it happen. If one is to take part in these glorious events - this is the way.
That's an incredible point I hadn't considered before. Behold this is Elias - the seal is Elias and pertains to the acceptance / rejection of the Holy Ghost. Only he can seal the promise of the name of the Father for those who are at that level of progression. Super amazing point good sir!
DeleteThankyou so much for the information , horus is associated with , apollo , mithra , krishna and Tammuz the phonecian name for Tammuz is adoni . The egyptian osiris is Dyonisis the green man of the Yazdiz and the hindu murugan. The Jewish people are Yadavas krishna clan . You related high priests with apostles , they are actually brahma maga, brahmins the chosen people . Hathor takes on the form of sekemet , the male version is narasima . Krishna was worshiped as Narashimah, so was Indra , ( Jehova ) . Yes your right they are a priesthood , the bull is alway lunar horus the young apis . Apollos twin is artemis who is Dianna of Ephesus. Krishnas other name is Yasu . The egyptian Atum is shiva atum represents the primordial mound , atum ra , is set . Atums emblem is the bull the earth is represented by the bull . Atum represents the shiva linga the house or bethel of the phoenix the fire bird which represents immortality and kingship . The fire is agni the sun on earth , (atman ) for the persians fire represented light , truth and purity , internalised it represents the semi devine man . Those Pharohs in egypt were worshipped like gods . Eternal truth , i dont think so . Apollo is in the bible as abbadon greek Apollyon. The role of apollyon like you said is to punish those who dont have the seal of god on their forehead.
ReplyDeleteAlaris,
ReplyDeleteHow did you go from having a stroke and not being able to put thoughts or a sentence together & now all this ?
One hand on my keyboard....for starters. Stroke nailed me and hit me in between the eyes...well some people are seriously but my face is fine. But my right handed and my right footed have rested me with a casted right foot. There once was a time with where 2 years from the beginning with 100 % - now that would be cool. Right now its 1 year and some change. One hand ... LOL. We'll see.
DeleteOh, this old article predates it - ante Stroke. :-)
