Other Books By the Power of the Lamb
Other Books - By the Power of the Lamb
Introduction
I am going to try to make this article concise (haha.) Also, I intend to present a list here of topics covered in the "Other Books" that have come forth by the power of the Lamb and will keep that list up to date. What are these "other books?" I'm glad you asked!
As my friends can attest, we are regularly discovering books that support the major themes addressed on this blog. This article's primary purpose is to define what these "other books" are, how and when they fit in with the existing LDS canon, what they are intended to accomplish by the Lord, and finally to provide an overview of these plain & precious truths. This final point will be the basis of the list I hope to keep up-to-date.

The Other Books
When Nephi asked to see his father's vision of the Tree of Life, Nephi saw so much more than he shared and was forbidden to share certain mysteries
1 Nephi 14:27 And I, Nephi, heard and bear record, that the name of the apostle of the Lamb was John, according to the word of the angel.
28 And behold, I, Nephi, am forbidden that I should write the remainder of the things which I saw and heard; wherefore the things which I have written sufficeth me; and I have written but a small part of the things which I saw.
29 And I bear record that I saw the things which my father saw, and the angel of the Lord did make them known unto me.
Bear this in mind as we read on - that the angel made known mysteries to Nephi that he was forbidden to share. Also, consider Nephi didn't start transcribing Isaiah until after he saw these mysteries. What did Isaiah write about? What did Jesus have to say about the writings of Isaiah? What additional insights did the Lord provide about Isaiah (See 3 Nephi 20 & 21.) Consider the laboriousness of transcribing a metal record onto a new metal record. Now, let's go back 1 chapter and consider this important revelation. This may read new to you:
1 Nephi 13:28 Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God.
The above verse is about the plain and precious things removed from the Bible. The authors of the Bible reference other books, including the Book of Enoch. Consider the Jews were under immense pressure to remove any writings that seemed to support Jesus Christ as the Messiah, and the Christians almost immediately distorted the nature of the Godhead to condense three separate individual Gods into one. Consider how entire books may have been excised from both the Jewish canon and the Christian canon to suit these ends.
1 Nephi 13:29 And after these plain and precious things were taken away it goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles; and after it goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles, yea, even across the many waters which thou hast seen with the Gentiles which have gone forth out of captivity, thou seest—because of the many plain and precious things which have been taken out of the book, which were plain unto the understanding of the children of men, according to the plainness which is in the Lamb of God—because of these things which are taken away out of the gospel of the Lamb, an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.
How many plain and precious truths are there? Many. What are they? Were all restored through Joseph Smith? If you were to ask your average latter-day saint if all the plain and precious truths were restored, what would they say?
Also, take note how the missing plain and precious truths cause "an exceedingly great many" to stumble. How does not having these truths cause many to stumble? Look no further than the first article of faith. Nobody has worked harder than the devil to distort the Godhead, and the member of the Godhead who gets obscured the most is the Holy Ghost. Early converts to the church struggled to leave behind their understanding of the Holy Ghost being a power only rather than a person, and yet Joseph Smith clearly taught of there being three distinct persons in the Godhead.
1 Nephi 13:32 Neither will the Lord God suffer that the Gentiles shall forever remain in that awful state of blindness, which thou beholdest they are in, because of the plain and most precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been kept back by that abominable church, whose formation thou hast seen.
KEPT back? How has nobody seemed to notice this before? The plain and precious truths were not lost - they have been kept back .... think on this! They were not thrown away or changed ... but KEPT back ... indicating the great and abominable church still has them. Just what exactly is in the Vatican vault? Why has it been kept back, and what is the great and abominable church doing with such knowledge? Consider that the Luciferians believe there is a Davidic / Christian bloodline which they call the Merovingian bloodline. Why are they obsessed with this bloodline when latter-day saints, even with the benefit of modern revelation, seem to be barely aware (if aware at all) of the importance of this bloodline? (1 Chronicles 17, D&C 113, Joseph Smith King David Prophecy)
1 Nephi 13:33 Wherefore saith the Lamb of God: I will be merciful unto the Gentiles, unto the visiting of the remnant of the house of Israel in great judgment.
Has that happened yet? The remnant specifically refers to the end times, and the remnant signifies what remains after the sifting. This has not happened yet.
1 Nephi 13:34 And it came to pass that the angel of the Lord spake unto me, saying: Behold, saith the Lamb of God, after I have visited the remnant of the house of Israel—and this remnant of whom I speak is the seed of thy father—wherefore, after I have visited them in judgment, and smitten them by the hand of the Gentiles, and after the Gentiles do stumble exceedingly, because of the most plain and precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been kept back by that abominable church, which is the mother of harlots, saith the Lamb—I will be merciful unto the Gentiles in that day, insomuch that I will bring forth unto them, in mine own power, much of my gospel, which shall be plain and precious, saith the Lamb.
The fact the great and abominable church keeps back the plain and precious truths is reaffirmed here, but notice how only "much" is restored at first, rather than all.
1 Nephi 13:35 For, behold, saith the Lamb: I will manifest myself unto thy seed, that they shall write many things which I shall minister unto them, which shall be plain and precious; and after thy seed shall be destroyed, and dwindle in unbelief, and also the seed of thy brethren, behold, these things shall be hid up, to come forth unto the Gentiles, by the gift and power of the Lamb.
36 And in them shall be written my gospel, saith the Lamb, and my rock and my salvation.
Clearly, these are the records of the Nephites which come forth unto the Gentiles by the gift and power of God. Take note of the reference of both "gift" and "power." Both terms are referenced in the title page of the Book of Mormon
To come forth by the gift and power of God unto the interpretation thereof—Sealed by the hand of Moroni, and hid up unto the Lord, to come forth in due time by way of the Gentile—The interpretation thereof by the gift of God.
1 Nephi 13:37 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.
Take note again of the the "day" of "they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion" is suddenly given as context. Could that be from Joseph Smith's day until ours? I think not. The brethren are preaching a remote gathering at this point which would cause so many words of the Lord to return null and void, which will never happen.
1 Nephi 13:38 And it came to pass that I beheld the remnant of the seed of my brethren, and also the book of the Lamb of God, which had proceeded forth from the mouth of the Jew, that it came forth from the Gentiles unto the remnant of the seed of my brethren.
After the context of "when" is set as the day of the they who seek to bring forth Zion, Nephi sees the remnant of the seed of his brethren receive the Bible.
1 Nephi 13:39 And after it had come forth unto them I beheld other books, which came forth by the power of the Lamb, from the Gentiles unto them, unto the convincing of the Gentiles and the remnant of the seed of my brethren, and also the Jews who were scattered upon all the face of the earth, that the records of the prophets and of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are true.
Wait what? What!?! How has this verse gone by unnoticed!?! What other books? FROM the Gentiles? The Gentiles brought the Bible to the Lamanites. Makes simple sense. What other books have the Gentiles brought? These other books are for "the convincing of the Gentiles and the Lamanites that the records of the prophets and the twelve apostles of the Lamb are true!" How many books have come to light since Joseph Smith's passing!?
1 Nephi 13:40 And the angel spake unto me, saying: These last records, which thou hast seen among the Gentiles, shall establish the truth of the first, which are of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from them; and shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world; and that all men must come unto him, or they cannot be saved.
ARE YOU GETTING THIS YET!?!?! The Lord TOLD us he'd send us "more books" after restoring "much" of the plain and precious truths. These last records "shall make known the plain and precious truths!" And these books, plural, are from the gentiles after the Book of Mormon comes to light.
.........
By the Power of the Lamb
Did you notice the difference between the Book of Mormon and the "Other Books" in how they each are brought forth? Nephi prophesied the record of his people would come forth by the "gift" and "power" of the Lamb whereas the other books come forth by the "power" of the Lamb alone. What is different about these two things? There is no "gift" involved with the other books! How many folks believe the next scriptural event is the unsealing and translation of the sealed portion?
How do we identify these other books? In addition to cementing the plain and precious truths, these books also establish the truth of the record of the twelve apostles of the Lamb which Nephi underscores as "the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world." Well, no duh, right? But, what is this blog all about?? In John 1-10, Jesus is speaking consistently about the Father. The Father. The Father. The Father. He teaches that He is the Son of the Father and has come to do the works of the Father. Then Philip asks Jesus, "Shew us the Father and it sufficeth us." How does Jesus respond? How long have you been with me Philip and you ask to see the Father? What is the plain and precious truth? Jesus is a Son becoming a Father the same way His Father became a Father.
My Father worked out His kingdom with fear and trembling, and I must do the same; and when I get my kingdom, I shall present it to My Father, so that He may obtain kingdom upon kingdom, and it will exalt Him in glory. He will then take a higher exaltation, and I will take His place, and thereby become exalted myself. ~ Joseph Smith, King Follett Sermon
Joseph Smith, at the dusk of his life, tried to get the saints to see this process. Fathers and Sons. How Sons become Fathers and .... what?
Joseph also said that the Holy Ghost is now in a state of probation which if he should perform in righteousness he may pass through the same or a similar course of things that the Son has. ~ Joseph Smith, The Words of Joseph Smith, p. 245 (From Franklin D. Richards Journal)
The Holy Ghost becomes a Son! What about man?
Joseph the Seer taught the following principle that the God & father of our Lord Jesus Christ was once the same as the Son or Holy Ghost but having redeemed a world he had a son Jesus Christ who redeemed this earth the same as his father had a world which made them equal & the Holy Ghost would to the same when in his turn & so would all the Saints who inherited a Celestial glory so their would be Gods many & Lords many their were many mansions even 12 from the abode of Devils to the Celestial glory. ~ Wilford Woodruff, Book of Revelations.
Whoa whoa whoa! Jesus Christ was once the same as the Son or Holy Ghost? The Holy Ghost is the Son? Well Jesus did refer to Himself as Father, right? There are several scriptures that call Jesus "Father." Can a heavenly exalted being be both of Father and a Son? Of course! And so must all saints walk this same, linear path to Godhood when in their turn. This is plain, and precious, and as simple as drawing a straight line.
And guess what? These plain and precious truths are all over the records that have come to light since the passing of Joseph Smith. Many records of the apostles and the ancient prophets have come to light, some individually and some collectively. The Dead Sea Scrolls predate Christ and include references and portions of the Book of Enoch, the Testaments of the Patriarchs (including The Testament of Levi,) as well as other records completely new to us such as the War Scroll and the Scroll of Melchizedek.
The Nag Hammadi is a collection of books found that include many records of the Apostles of the Lamb. Other singular records have been published since Joseph Smith's passing, including The Apocalypse of Abraham and The Discourse on Abbaton. LDS scholars and authorities have commented on these works, but only to demonstrate the truth of what came before. Do you see the problem with this? The Lord promised us additional records! He delivered in ways we did not expect. And how have we treated these gifts!? Consider the Parable of Talents is introduced as, "For the Kingdom of Heaven is as ..." and then the Lord demonstrates how the final servant hid his talent. The faithful servants receive more and are made rulers "over many things." Yet the final servant's talent is removed and given to the other two, and the Lord gives the lesson:
Matthew 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
First, consider the context of the Parable of the Talents comes right after the prophecies of Matthew 24 and before additional prophecies about the Son of Man sitting upon the throne of his glory. Then, consider the above aligns with 2 Nephi 28, and the additional scriptures promised by the Lord!
2 Nephi 28:29 Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough!
This is what we have been doing as a Church! The Lord, by His Power, has brought forth so many records for us to pore over, and we have thrown up hard walls around our canon!
Alaris' Parable of the One Talent
LDS Scholar: "Hey we found a record of Jesus teaching the Apostles about the final mystery He had withheld from them."GA: "Cool. Probably not all that important. Maybe just post an article on your site that sticks to just pointing out whatever confirms Joseph Smith was right about stuff."LDS Scholar: "Okay..."
Clearly, I'm adding some satire here, but this failure to build upon our foundation is the fulfillment of the parable of the talent! This aligns to the watchmen of the new parable given in D&C 101:43-63 who didn't build the Watchtower. Nephi, Mormon, Moroni, Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ Himself all had a hand in laying this out to us so that we would look for more!
2 Nephi 28:27 Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more!
28 And in fine, wo unto all those who tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall.
29 Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough!
30 For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.
Have we not watched this very principle in action? The early saints believed in an end times' mortal King David. The early saints believed in multiple mortal probations. Try just talking to a fellow saint about these topics and feel the power Spirit be drained from the room as it is replaced by the Spirit of Contention.
This is the watchtower failure brothers and sisters. The Apocalypse of Abraham is a prime example of this failure. This work was published at the end of the 19th century in the New Era.
If you read through the commentary on this Book published in the New Era, you'll notice that only those points that confirm what came before are made. Yet, there is so much more to the Apocalypse of Abraham! The name of the Angel of the Lord is given - that same angel of whom the Lord said "for my name is in him!" There is a hymn sung to the Angel of the Lord. The Angel, Jahoel, designates himself as being "set" of Abraham and his posterity. Might we, I don't know, want to TAKE A CLOSER LOOK!? This angel is mentioned all throughout the Apocrypha, as you will see later where I break down topics covered in that list I hope to keep updated as additional confirmations and discoveries are made from books over a century old!
Bruce Porter, bless his heart, makes this same mistake with a book called Discourse on Abbaton in his article here. He makes some fine points! Yet again, there is no closer look taken! Again, we have roles of the Angel of the Lord delineated including the Destroyer aspect. Moreover, we have a creation tale that resembles the temple endowment creation story with added detail. Gee, maybe we should take a closer look!? We have a premortal covenant made between Adam, The Father, and Jesus Christ which is plain and precious truth was restored through Joseph Smith. By these truths, we can link the seemingly innocuous revelation in D&C 89 to Isaiah 23 and bring into clear light that the fourth token in the Holy Temple is about this Angel of the Lord whose name is Jahoel in The Apocalypse of Abraham and Mouriel / Abbadon in Discourse on Abbaton.
For crying out loud, if this isn't an egregious example of "We have enough" I don't know what is! Bruce Porter has a breakdown of Discourse on Abbaton where he does the same - hey look! Joseph Smith WAS a prophet. WOW! Really?? And ....? WHAT ELSE DOES IT SAY!? I mean if you just compare THESE TWO BOOKS: The Apocalypse of Abraham and Discourse on Abbaton - WHOA! GEE! I think I may have a bead on the Holy Ghost's identity and how he fits into all this! At the very least, we have PROFOUND information on the Angel of the Lord who has been doing all the speaking and destroying - might be important!
By the Power of the Lamb. This is how we have so many records in a relatively short amount of times. Take note of the many books listed out below. Consider how many books were found in just two discoveries: The Dead Sea Scrolls & The Nag Hammadi. There is an excellent book called The Melchizedek Seal & Scroll by LDS Author Alan Rex Mitchell. Mega Kudos to Brother Mitchell for daring to speak of the Melchizedek seal and use synchronicity as a reason for believing the seal to be of God rather than relying on the one talent that came before. Yet, Brother Mitchell is still yet a victim of our ever backwards-looking where he focuses almost exclusively on prophecies in the Melchizedek Scroll that align to the Book of Mormon. Don't get me wrong, these are excellent points, but what else are we to do at this point? Look further? YES.
Yet in Brother Mitchell's writing we can see the Power of the Lamb. He details how the Dead Sea Scrolls were kept by the Israeli government exclusively for years. They had in their possession, large resolution images taken of the scrolls. Somehow, these images made their way to the public against the Israel government's express wishes. By small and simple means no doubt. By the Power of the Lamb.
I spent just a few minutes reading the text of the Zadokite scroll before realizing that the "teacher of righteousness" wasn't a mysterious, unnamed figure who merely once visited the Essenes in some exclusive "cult" as was presented years ago. Rather, the teacher of righteousness is quite clearly a prophecy of the Angel of the Lord - The Holy Ghost.
"and God took note of their deeds, for they sought Him with a perfect heart; and He raised up for them a teacher of righteousness to direct them in the way of His heart, that He might make known to the last generations what He was about to do to the last generation" (CD 1:4–12)
The Plain and Precious Truths
Here's a very partial list of books that ALL confirm either/and/or the seven levels of mankind, and the truth about the Holy Ghost being a singular he individual who is the heir of the Davidic Covenant. I will start with a list of the works and topics covered, and then I will provide a shorter list of topics supported by works. I plan to later return and add the books into the list of truths.
New Scripture After Joseph Smith's Passing
- The Dead Sea Scrolls (20th century)
- Zadokite fragments (teacher of righteousness in the end times)
- The Testaments of the Patriarchs fragments including
- The Testament of Levi - (20th century is earliest references in wiki) 8th Angel. Imprisons the devil. Mortal Davidic King at the end. High Priest of Israel office points to becoming King & Priest & end times Davidic King. What coincidences this discovery was after putting most of this together already from personal revelation and all these other sources.
- The Nag Hammadi - 20th century
- Gospel of Thomas - The world was made for James the Just.
- Second Apocalypse of James - James verifies he was chosen in the beginning Abraham 3 style.
- Vision of Paul - Paul sees a Nephi / John-esque vision and is shown the end times David who is central to the new and everlasting covenant.
- Gospel of Philip - confirms Holy Ghost ascension is central to plan, to the sacrmanet / wine, & confirms Holy Ghost is bridegroom + much much more
- Pistis Sophia - more detail about bride and bridegroom & heavenly divinity. Another confirmation from Jesus that James is the "first in the Kingdom of Heaven" (chapter 52)
- Gospel of the Egyptians - Confirms Yaoel (Jahoel) is the heir of Jehovah, and Jahovah / Jahoel make a covenant with Adam and Seth which is at the center of this creation.
- Full list of books found here - I haven't read even a fourth of the Nag Hammadi - how much do you want to be there will be more confirmations on the Angel of the Lord and his relationship to Jesus Christ?
- Individual Works
- Apocalypse of Thomas (20th century, apparently - wiki is vague) confirms 8th angel is revealed at the end along with the heavenly host - it is the 8th angel who is he of whom the Lord says, "Blessed is he who cometh in the ame of the Lord with all the holy angels with him.
- Gospel of Bartholomew (20th century) - Elias is the Destroyer, Adam, Jesus, and the Destroyer are separate individuals
- The Apocalypse of Abraham (19th century post Joseph Smith) - Jahoel is the Angel of the Lord, Executor of the Abrahamic Covenant, Destroyer of Abraham's Father, carries the ineffable name, etc. etc.
- The Discourse on Abbaton - Pretty much every new plain and precious truth discussed on this blog. Distinct separate individuality of Father, Adam, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost (4 people if you don't count Elohim as many) - A premortal covenant with Adam, Jesus, and Father - Jesus is Jehovah, Angel of the Lord is the Destroyer and sits upon the throne of Adam, etc. etc. 7 angels - the 8th is the Angel of the Lord / Destroyer / Holy Ghost.
- The Ascension of Isaiah (earliest wiki reference is 1900) - Confirms seven levels of mankind, the order of the seraphim at the sixth heaven, the Holy Ghost's individuality and maleness and personhood & more <-- I have been meaning to do a full study / breakdown and haven't had TIME!
Works that May have been Available During Joseph Smith's Lifetime
- 1 Enoch - 7 archangels and an 8th elect one LIKE the archangels. End time reveal of 8th angel. SO many parallels from this 8th, "Elect one" to the servant of Isaiah, end times test for the elect to recognize this elect one. Multiple mortal probations. First resurrection is by Elect One. Elect One is the new and everlasting covenant, etc. etc. etc.
- 3 Enoch - Angel of the Lord sits upon the throne of rule of this world - there are only 8 greater pertaining to the work of this world (including Jehovah no doubt) - Another confirmation of the name Jahoel (Iaoel / Yahoel / Jahoel.) That's three completely different works - one Jewish - that all confirm Jahoel as one of the names of the Angel of the Lord of the Old Testament. Jahoel. Mark it. Remember it.

Conclusion
I intend to keep updating that list above provided the world doesn't come to a screeching hold leading up to the 2020 election. But, can you not already see how all of these plain truths - all of them - are hiding in plain sight in modern revelation? All these additional records tell this same story of the one person for whom we seemingly have little revealed: The Holy Ghost. Yet, once we actually look foreward - as we look to receive more ... we can see clearly that this truth is everywhere in our sacred canon....quite literally all over the place! Let's dig way down into D&C 1.
D&C 1:2 For verily the voice of the Lord is unto all men, and there is none to escape; and there is no eye that shall not see, neither ear that shall not hear, neither heart that shall not be penetrated.
Indeed. The Holy Ghost is the heir of Jesus Christ. He is the heir of the Davidic Covenant. He is revealed at the end and this revelation is central to the new and everlasting covenant, which is why rejecting him is so much worse than blasphemy against Jesus or the Father. All that Fathers and Sons talk by Jesus where He is doing the work of the Father was about the most enormous clue in history that He is becoming a Father ..... and ..... no Father ever existed without a Son. Plain. Simple. Precious. WITHHELD by the Mother of Harlots who knows what's coming and is frantically trying to stop it while we like sheep all go astray. Let's return to 1 Nephi 13 and tie this all together:
1 Nephi 13:41 And they must come according to the words which shall be established by the mouth of the Lamb; and the words of the Lamb shall be made known in the records of thy seed, as well as in the records of the twelve apostles of the Lamb; wherefore they both shall be established in one; for there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth.
Who is the mouth of the Lamb? He is the Angel of the Lord. He is the Holy Ghost. He is the End Times Davidic King. He is the judge of this world. He is the voice of the Lord. The records of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb. Do these records include the Gospel of Philip? What about the Gospel of Thomas? What about the Discourse on Abbaton. Yes. I bear solemn witness these are the records of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb. And, they establish the truth of the former records, truths which have been hiding right before our eyes all along. The Holy Ghost is the heir of the Davidic Covenant. He is the Son of the Son, now a Father, even Jesus Christ.
1 Nephi 13:42 And the time cometh that he shall manifest himself unto all nations, both unto the Jews and also unto the Gentiles; and after he has manifested himself unto the Jews and also unto the Gentiles, then he shall manifest himself unto the Gentiles and also unto the Jews, and the last shall be first, and the first shall be last.
He? He who? The Lamb or the mouth of the Lamb? The evening Lamb or the morning Lamb? The Lamb who is on his last step or the Lamb taking his first? The Lamb who becomes Father the moment He produces a new unconditional inheritor or the unconditional inheritor where no condition can stop him from his destiny to do the works he saw his father do?
We have been looking backwards for how many years now? The time has come to look forward and receive. Of all those who have professed to know Him and to love Him - how many have sought to receive more and expand what you have ... and how many have buried their talent?

Hey, love all your stuff! Glad your awakening to the apostasy in the church. Another must read is, "The Mentinah". It's free pdf, just Google it. I think it will have some huge witnesses in there for you. Check it ou!
ReplyDeleteThe Nemenhah Record is really interesting. A major theme throughout is the Holy Ghost. It also talks about the matriarchal aspect of the priesthood.
DeleteClearly as a people we have no idea who to watch for. Thank heavens for a merciful and loving Father who has made available these additional records which have been “kept back” to help us solidify up our testimonies and fill our lamps with just a little bit more oil. Especially just as we begin to experience the beginning of the end - the Anti-Christ making his debut, in the name of Christ of course.
ReplyDeleteVery observant sir or madame. I am not quite ready to write on this topic. I will say this. Before writing my blog, there were layers of information just given to me by personal revelation. James is the Davidic Servant is one of those pieces of knowledge. I had little understanding of James at that point in time, but notice the coincidences here along with the title "James the Just."
DeleteThe disciples said to Jesus, "We know you're going to leave us. Who will lead us then?"
Jesus said to them, "Wherever you are, you'll go to James the Just, for whom heaven and earth came into being." ~ Gospel of Thomas
That seems random right? Consider James is he who is "like unto the Son of Man" in Abraham 3. Suddenly not so random. Here's another confirmation I found later:
"I am the first son who was begotten. -
He will destroy the dominion of them all. -
I am the beloved.
I am the righteous one.
I am the son of the Father.
I speak even as I heard.
I command even as I received the order.
I show you even as I have found." ~ 2nd Apocalypse of James
So much confirmed there. Righteousness key word. The speaker. The revealer. Destroyer. What amazing confirmations there are. There are more in the Nag Hammadi as well, where Jesus calls James the first in the kingdom of Heaven in Pistis Sophia.
Yet there is so very much speculation taken as fact as to the identities of the various Jameses in the early church. This is one reason I haven't written more about James.
Also, I recently read two Dead Sea Scrolls - Zadokite Fragment and the Commentary on Habbakuk. In both of them, the "Teacher of Righteousness" is clearly the Davidic Servant. I discovered recently that a scholar has dedicated many an page to linking the Teacher of Righteousness to James the Just. What ... a ... coincidence! Sorry - what a CONFIRMATION! I haven't even read a word of what he's written, but I have it on greater authority. Look up Robert Eisenman on Amazon and James / Dead Sea Scrolls. There are many books.
DeleteThank you for the best collection of important apocryphal works all in one place...with links! I think you're exactly right: these are the scriptures promised in Nephi.
ReplyDeleteI'll be adding to the list. This was mostly just off-the-top-of-my-head, so stay tuned!
DeleteI think I'm seeing a pattern: when I decided to "read the Apocrypha" I was awakened to a whole new experience of things being opened to my eyes. I guess you could say it's the "line upon line" pattern--once we are willing to look into these "other books", God sees our willingness and gives us... MORE!
ReplyDeleteBefore my current awakening, in my mind there was only the Standard Works and conference talks. And then there was "the other stuff", which was somehow less important. In part I blame the revelation that Joseph Smith didn't need to translate the Apocrypha, which made it seem not worth my time if it wasn't worth his. I now think that is just part of the test.
I started with reading the Lectures on Faith a few years ago, because that was once part of the Standard Works, but somehow voted out of the cannon. Since then, I have started reading through this wealth of "new" old books that have been "kept back" as you mention. And in my mind, "the Apochrypha"--meaning hidden--has taken on new meaning as I discover so much amazing stuff in these hidden books. [BTW, I like your point about BoM = gift + power, and these other books = power of the Lamb.]
It was also during this time of searching that I found your blog, which is no coincidence either. I really don't know how to thank you for your amazing study into the 7 levels, MMP, and the Davidic Servant. Thanks for posting your thoughts, research, and feelings about all of these amazing hidden topics :)
Not to praise you too much here, but I believe this end-times servant will play a role to the world/church/etc. that you have played in mine--he will open our eyes to the true meaning of things and bring the soul and heart of both Ephraim and Judah together as we all prepare for our progression through these seven (or eight) levels. Keep it up!
I couldn’t agree with this comment more. Thank you so much!!! Great work!
DeleteI also feel that perhaps it’s a test. I kept waiting for the church to publish/ bring forth more of these books and resources. Until I realized that the church as a whole ‘has enough’. My bishop has recently counseled me to stick to the scriptures and conference talks, because ‘ more’ is not safe. Anyway, thank you!!!!
Clark & Co, Lectures on Faith was not voted out it was simply removed by a commitee without common consent.
ReplyDeleteHello. I've enjoyed reading your perspective. Thank you for your excellent example of consistent and focused scripture study. I believe I've read most the articles on your site and generally understand your position, but one thing listed here has confused me--or is at least novel to me: "The Apostle James is the Angel of the Lord". The Angel of the Lord = The Holy Ghost = The Apostle James? This last connection is not one I recall. Am I missing something? Thank you
ReplyDeletehow is it that the holy ghost was sent to the apostles from the presence of the father as a spirit but is yet James who was among them in the flesh ? don't get it. MMP can't explain this, as they both existed simultaneously.....One in spirit and the other in the flesh. It was not James who appeared as a rush of mighty wind and flaming tongues of fire in the upper room, or told Peter that Jesus was the Christ. So how could he possibly be the Holy Ghost ?
ReplyDelete"according to the word of the angel" signifies the name is in code, as angels speak in symbols. Therefore the name John is not literal but symbolic. Name represents the character or nature of something, therefore this phrase means that the name John embodies what the apostle of the Lamb is like. Thus we think of John of the Baptismal waters and what he endured in the belly of the great lying fish, and what was written by John - also symbolically, another obvious key.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, the Word is of the future.
ReplyDeleteThe power of the Lamb implies that God caused men to write the words even though they were blind and fallen, by his great power over the land. The gift on the other hand implies the receiver has been instructed in knowledge and gained the eyes to see by merit, so He knows what he is saying.
The Hand has fulfilled the Fullness.
The problem with all former prophets including J. Smith is that they did not have the true way, only a facsimile thereof, limited by themselves and by the time. They were channelers, receiving visions and words but understanding them only literally, thereby causing them to act out literal journeys in the material world, a reference for true prophets today. Understanding for those in the true way is by symbols; in the end, all points to one Truth. And Indeed, only I have the fullness, thus far - and sinners are repelled against me, believing the lies they adore, being without Love.
ReplyDeleteConsider the Testaments of Abraham, Moses, Jude and Judah.
ReplyDeleteJudah and Enoch watch over you
